Theological Studies – Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary
Shalom Church has partnered with Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS) to offer module classes from their Master of Theological Studies syllabus for Shalom Church members and friends. With this offering, these CBTS studies officially replaces the Shalom School of Theology.
The first module to be conducted in Shalom Church premises will be The Doctrine of God by Dr. Samuel Waldron

Time : 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
Location : Shalom Church premises
The lecture can be attended just for personal learning. This will be considered taking the course for audit. For those keen to earn credits from CBTS can register as a student. Students earning credits will have to complete all the necessary assignments & tests provided by CBTS ( see this PDF for more information ). The lectures will be streamed via video and it will be held in Shalom Church premises.
Additionally, semester enrollment fees have been waived for this first year trial period. Application fee of US$50 (one time for the duration of being a student of CBTS) has to be paid to receive credits and to maintain academic records. Shalom Church will be facilitating the conduct of the course.
This course will be suitable to church leaders, potential preacher-pastor or any who is serious on studying God’s word on a more in-depth level.

Theme: In God’s House, His Word Rules ?
Church leadership, worship, missions and ministries – what do they look like now ? Do they have clear biblical mandates? Or are they governed by a smorgasbord of traditions/unspoken rules, personalities / personal preferences and cultural pragmatism, with only a sprinkling of scriptural directives?
Fundamentally, what or who rules in your church – God’s house? Can your current church life stand up to scrutiny when placed under the spotlight of God’s Word ? A wrong focus can have devastating consequences on the present and future generations (see Gen. 4:1-5, John 2:13-17, the churches at Pergamos or Thyatira in Rev. 2). Main Speaker: Dr Sam Waldron , Dean of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary
Dr. Sam Waldron is the dean of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary and professor of Systematic Theology. He is also one of the pastors of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Owensboro, KY. Dr. Waldron received his Ph.D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of numerous books including A Modern Exposition of the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, The End Times Made Simple, To Be Continued?, MacArthur’s Millennial Manifesto: A Friendly Response, Two Things You Must Do To Be Saved. Dr Waldron is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society.
