Theme: 5 Faithful Sayings

This conference throws spotlight on the apostle Paul’s exhortations to Timothy & Titus found in the pastoral epistles of the Bible.  To wisely shepherd amidst a challenging milieu, Paul gives 5 specific faithful/trustworthy sayings to his pastoral colleagues. These 5 sayings, although delivered some 2000 years ago, have abiding emphases that point to the heart of a God-centered pastoral ministry that every minister called ought to lay to heart:

  • Christ Jesus
  • Leadership
  • Godly living
  • Suffer-Endure-Faithful
  • Good works

Dr Samuel Renihan
Trinity Reformed Baptist Church, USA

Samuel Renihan is pastor of Trinity Reformed Baptist Church in La Mirada, California where he lives with his wife, Kim, and their son, Owen. A MDiv graduate of Westminster Seminary California, Sam went on to obtain PhD from the Free University of Amsterdam. Currently Sam is serving as an Adjunct Professor of Theology at the International Reformed Baptist Seminary, USA.  He is the author of various articles and books such as God without Passions: a reader [2015], God without Passions: a primer [2015], From Shadow to Substance: The Federal Theology of the English Particular Baptists (1642-1704) [2018], The Mystery of Christ, his Covenant, and his Kingdom [2019], The Petty France Church (Part 1) [2019], Deity and Decree [2020], Crux, Mors, Inferi: A Primer and Reader on the Descent of Christ [2021], The Petty France Church (Part 2) [2022].  He has also written works in Spanish.

Sam is the son of Dr James Renihan, the clc 2017 speaker.
